SCHOTT AG appoints new member of the Board of Management

The Supervisory Board of SCHOTT AG has decided to appoint Marcus Knöbel, Executive Vice President of the Business Unit Advanced Optics, to the Management Board of SCHOTT AG as CFO with effect from September 1, 2024.
“With the appointment of Mr. Knöbel as CFO, we deliberately opted for an internal candidate who, in addition to his commercial background, also brings a proven operational perspective to this division and we wish him all the best for the new challenge,” said Dr. Michael Bolle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Mr. Knöbel will assume responsibility for Finance, Purchasing, Information Technology and Mergers & Acquisitions within the Management Board.
Marcus Knöbel succeeds Dr. Jens Schulte, who has been a member of the Management Board of SCHOTT AG as CFO since 2016 and stepped down by his own choosing on April 30, 2024.
