SCHOTT supports climate protection at schools by donating EUR 120,000

- SCHOTT complements its own climate strategy with a “School and Climate Protection” funding project
- Schools develop creative ideas on climate protection
- Best projects rewarded with up to EUR 20,000
“We are deeply impressed by the creative, meaningful and sustainable proposals that the students came up with the support of their teachers,” said Salvatore Ruggiero, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at SCHOTT AG, as a representative of the SCHOTT project team.
The respective site managers are currently honoring the submitted projects in local events, combined with the awarding of the funding amounts.
The best ideas were presented by the following schools:
Mainz site (Rhineland-Palatinate): Wilhelm-Leuschner Schule, Mainz Kostheim
Project “A sustainable school garden.” Amount of funding: EUR 17,500
Grünenplan site (Lower Saxony): CJD Christophorusschule Elze
Project “Trees for the climate – sustainability in schools.” Amount of funding: EUR 18,000
Jena site (Thuringia): Otto-Schott-Gymnasium, Jena
Project “Climate-neutral to school – bicycle loan and repair workshop.” Amount of funding: EUR 20,000
Landshut site (Bavaria): Staatliche Realschule Landshut
Project “Drinking tap water is climate protection.” Amount of funding: EUR 13,000
Mitterteich site (Bavaria): Stiftland-Gymnasium Tirschenreuth
Project “Recording and reducing CO2 emissions.” Amount of funding: EUR 16,000
Müllheim site (Baden-Württemberg): Kreisgymnasium Neuenburg
Project: “Solar bicycle workshop” project. Amount of funding: EUR 18,000
The other participating schools received recognition amounts of between EUR 500 and EUR 5,000.
