Commitment to sustainability – SCHOTT again awarded EcoVadis GOLD

The technology Group SCHOTT has again received a GOLD rating for its sustainability management from the renowned sustainability rating agency EcoVadis. In the current assessment, SCHOTT leaped from the top 7% in 2022 to the outstanding top 4% of all companies rated worldwide in 2023. “This repeated recognition by EcoVadis is further confirmation of our commitment to environmental protection, ethical business practices and social responsibility,” commented SCHOTT CEO Dr. Frank Heinricht.

The technology Group SCHOTT has again received a GOLD award from the rating agency EcoVadis.
The energy-intensive company’s consistent measures in the areas of the environment and climate are key factors in earning this award: In the environment category, EcoVadis ranked the technology Group among the top 1% in the glass industry with 100 out of 100 points and the company was able to improve by 10 points compared to last year.

In addition, SCHOTT also increased its score in the Sustainable Procurement category from 50 points in 2022 to 60 points in 2023. This improvement reflects the proactive approach to responsible sourcing and supply chain management. In addition, the high score of 60 points in the labor, human rights and ethics categories was maintained, which is well above the industry average.

Sustainability ratings promote transparency and mutual trust in business relationships. Over 100,000 companies from 175 countries and 200 industries rely on the EcoVadis sustainability ratings.
