Printing
Imagine infinite printing techniques on flat glass for stunning new functionalities and styles, like durable ceramic printing on both sides of a glass panel or multicolor printing. New haptic effects highlighting your logos will open new dimensions for your front design.
We ensure that the colors in your designs are reproduced with absolute precision and give you new design possibilities. This improves the quality and attractiveness of your products and makes them more appealing to end users. And your brand sticks to you.
We achieve this with our double-sided ceramic printing on glass, known as the SCHOTT® duo design. This double-sided printing technology is patented - because, unlike other technologies on the market, it ensures print quality remains virtually unchanged even under the high stresses of everyday use. It also allows for impressive 3D effects and adds depth to the appearance, making the colors look even better.
We achieve this with our double-sided ceramic printing on glass, known as the SCHOTT® duo design. One of our core competencies: We print more than 2,000 customer-specific color tones every year, in precise and identical color tones for follow-up orders. Even when it involves printing ten or more colors on a single piece of flat glass, the finest of lines and symbols are clearly visible.
Various printing effects include metal impressions, matt satin-finished surfaces, mirror elements, frosted glass design, semi-transparent colors, front, and back side printing on the same glass, and haptic effect printing. QR Codes and barcode printing are also available.
Because most prints on flat glass require the highest mechanical and temperature resistance, we apply mainly ceramic colors, while organic colors are mostly used as light filters. Both color types can be printed in combination on the same glass panel. Almost all color shades are available by color matching.
We offer functional prints, such as special colors for infrared sensors and capacitive buttons or black-panel print solutions. For that, operating elements can be perfectly integrated into the appliance - enabling new ways for smart technology within our high-performance glass.
We use conductive inks for printed circuits on control panels where we print circuits directly onto the glass, making the use of PCB unnecessary. This enables a thinner, more flexible construction. Plus, it extends the lifespan and enhances the quality of your device.
Perfectly fitting interfaces for the installation of electronic components or capacitive sensors open up new design options. While printed heating circuits on glass for heating devices or heating plates make additional foils superfluous - and increase the service life of your device significantly.
Thanks to the great expertise and our in-house color laboratories, our printing solutions and technologies offer our customers numerous options to help them realize their own distinctive style. Thus allowing your brand to stick out.
Compared to metal, tempered glass offers better resistance to thermal changes, chemicals, and scratches. This makes float glass a more durable and long-lasting choice for various applications. Our printing options enable you to create a metal look – and profit from better durability.
Coating
You need a special flat glass coating? No matter what you need – we will find the perfect solution for your requirements. We develop all our innovative and functional coatings ourselves offering various options. Of course, all our coatings meet all applicable norms and standards and are fully compliant with Reach and RoHS.
Our coatings provide:

Processing
As with everything we do, our workmanship is characterized by high precision and quality. We process all common float glasses (clear, extra white, tinted, or satinized), coated float glasses (low-e, mirrored, or anti-reflective), and SCHOTT BOROFLOAT®, our high-quality borosilicate glass that is known for its excellent thermal and mechanical properties.

With decades of experience in series production, our processing is so precise that our glass is well suited for assembly in highly automated production lines.
Our processing options for all commercially available float glass include a wide range of edge, corner and printing options as well as consistent color matching and various functional coatings.
We offer high-precision drilling and have the ideal tools and processes for complex cut-outs. Whether it's tiny holes for shower heads, larger holes for gas burners in hobs or complex cut-outs, we guarantee our customers a perfect result.
Regardless of whether you need cut-outs on the outer edges or inside a pane, we place them in exactly the same position on every glass pane in a production series to enable smooth automatic assembly in series production.
We use a special technology to ensure perfectly smooth glass edges for safe handling. This enables us to achieve outstanding geometric precision - chip-free, with fewer rejects and minimal chamfers.
