Products

The Electronic Packaging business unit consists of six product areas: automotive, opto-electronics, nuclear safety, compressor seals, specialty glass, and thermal fuses. Within these areas, we develop and produce some of the most widely used glass components worldwide. Although these components often fulfill their tasks invisibly, they accompany us in everyday life in a multitude of safety-critical applications, from components for airbags and seat belts to protective devices for lithium-ion batteries. Other products are being used in the semiconductor industry, in smartwatches and wireless earbuds, in liquefied natural gas applications, as well as in industrial high-temperature sensing and LiDAR sensors that are enabling autonomous vehicles.
