PROPERTIES
FIOLAX® Pro borosilicate glass delivers on the fundamental industry requirements: safety, efficiency, and PCF reduction.
The glass prioritizes safety with superior extractables & leachable profile leading to minimal drug container interaction. It has a high hydrolytic resistance due to constant glass composition . Absence of any heavy metals leads to easy compliance with ICH Q3D as improved Type I glass type compliant with all international regulations: Ph.Eur., USP, JP, ChP, YBB, REACH, RoHS Efficiency is ensured through smooth machinability during converting and fill-and-finish processes. High output by first-class cosmetic quality, high precision by dimensional accuracy, customizable zero-defect options supported by digital quality documentation via perfeXion® makes the glass highly efficient.
PCF reduction is embedded with the optional FIOLAX® Pro OCF product line, which will be available first quarter of 2027 with a 50% lower product carbon footprint*. This is enabled by a new tank technology, where the melting area is powered by 100% green electricity; natural gas is only used in the separate refining unit and working tank part for technical reasons.

FIOLAX® amber
CHARACTERISTICS
FIOLAX® amber is a colored glass with a proven track record for securing the long-term stability of light-sensitive drugs. The stable composition of this Type I glass ensures a consistent amber color and therefore light protection, which is created by the addition of iron and titanium oxide. As with FIOLAX® Pro and clear, FIOLAX® amber possesses outstanding material quality with narrow tolerances, resulting in smooth machine operation and superior product quality.

BORO-8330™
CHARACTERISTICS
Like FIOLAX® Pro, clear and amber, BORO-8330™ glass has a consistent composition. In contrast to the other Type I glasses, it is free of alkaline earth metals and has minimum aluminum content. As a Type I Class A glass, it is fully compliant with international regulatory standards, and especially popular for vials and ampoules in the United States.
