Lithium Ion Battery Fuses and Switches
Whether powering a smartphone or an electric bike, protecting Li-ion battery packs from overcurrent and overcharging is key to safety and reliability. SEFUSE® battery fuses and SEREB® thermal battery protection switches are used to protect Li-ion battery packs. SEFUSE® battery fuses include D6S type and S type, which protect Li-ion batteries from overcurrent and overcharging. The S type is a lead-free* product and complies with RoHS requirements (lead content < 1,000 ppm). SEREB® battery protectors prevent overheating and overcurrent.
Extensive lineup of protectors for rechargeable batteries
SEFUSE® battery fuses are used as secondary protection in battery management systems (BMS). The SEFUSE® battery fuse line supports rated currents from 12 to 60A and is suitable for high-current applications, including rechargeable batteries for power tools. SCHOTT also offers a resettable SEREB® device that detects abnormal temperature rises in battery cells.
