ROBAX® IR Max
CHARACTERISTICS
Due to its special IR reflective coating, ROBAX® IR Max reflects more heat back into the combustion chamber than uncoated ROBAX®. The coated panel is available in flat cut-to-size and random sheets with a glass thickness of 4 mm and 5 mm for wood, pellet, and gas fireplaces. The coated side faces away from the fire. In reflection, the surface of the coated ROBAX® IR Max panel appears slightly blue depending on the viewing angle.
YOUR ADVANTAGES
- Elevated temperature in the combustion chamber.
- Higher efficiency of the energy used for the combustion process.
- Simultaneous reduction of the temperature outside of the combustion chamber, and therefore making the living room comfortably warm but not too hot.
- Constant performance of the coating over the entire life cycle when properly used.
ROBAX® IR SuperMax
CHARACTERISTICS
ROBAX® IR SuperMax is available for wood, pellet, and gas fireplaces as flat cut-to-size panels in glass thicknesses of 4 mm and 5 mm. The coated side is installed facing away from the fire. Depending on the viewing angle, the coated surface of ROBAX® IR SuperMax may appear slightly greenish or slightly pink in reflection. Frame decoration and logo printing are also available.
YOUR ADVANTAGES
-
Less heat radiation into the living space: By reflecting infrared heat radiation back into the combustion chamber, the heat radiation emitted towards the living space can be reduced.* This can contribute to noticeably more comfortable room temperatures – including in low-energy and passive houses.
-
Greater design freedom: The increased reflection of heat radiation* can, depending on the stove design, enable a larger fire-viewing panel and/or smaller distances to walls and furniture, thereby creating additional design options.
-
Support for the combustion process: Under comparable conditions, the stove can reach the temperature range favorable for clean combustion more quickly.* In addition, the effectiveness of a catalyst in the fireplace can be significantly improved.
-
Potential for emissions reduction: Under defined conditions, ROBAX® IR SuperMax can contribute to a reduction in CO and particulate matter emissions.**
-
Reduced soot deposits: The higher panel temperature can promote a pyrolysis-like effect, thereby contributing to reduced soot deposits on the panel.*
-
Consistent coating performance: When used properly, the coating remains consistently effective throughout the entire life cycle of the fireplace.
* Statements refer to the internal comparison of ROBAX® IR SuperMax with an uncoated ROBAX® fire-viewing panel of the same size and thickness in an identical stove setup. The effects described depend on stove design, fuel quality, and operation. No statement is made regarding the finished appliance’s compliance with emissions limits. Tested under regular operating conditions in accordance with a documented test procedure. Details of the conditions and methodology are available in the corresponding test report (available upon request).
** Under the internal, documented test conditions described in *, the comparison showed, in this test setup, a reduction in the sum of particulate matter emissions by about half and an average reduction in the CO value of approx. 45% (both starting from minute 0 of each burning cycle).
We therefore strongly recommend testing whether ROBAX® IR SuperMax can achieve the desired result before committing to serial production.
ROBAX® TrueView
CHARACTERISTICS
