By implementing a completely new electric tank technology by the beginning of 2027 and by using 100% green electricity, SCHOTT Tubing strives for emission savings. The new product line FIOLAX® Pro OCF (Optimized Carbon Footprint) with a 50% lower CO₂e footprint* is the result. This milestone is represented as well in our PCF declaration, which sets a new benchmark for the specialty glass industry. This detailed declaration provides the calculated PCF value for FIOLAX® Pro OCF according to a standardized guideline ensuring transparency and reliability. For the first time both - the guideline for the calculation and the PCF value itself - are certfied by the external, accredited institute GUTcert.FIOLAX® Pro OCF – as part of the FIOLAX® Pro family - is a dedicated Type I borosilicate glass, free of heavy metals, that boasts outstanding hydrolytic resistance and has an improved extractable profile. It will be available for all container formats like syringes, cartridges, vials as well as for ampoules and comes in an outside diameter range from 6.85 mm up to 40.00 mm.

The business unit Tubing is one of the biggest contributors to SCHOTT's ambitious climate targets.
