Sheets

SCHOTT glass sheets cover an impressive spectrum of technical properties that deliver high performance for a wide variety of applications in a broad range of environments. While our glasses share many of the same outstanding technical qualities, many properties can be customized for individual needs.

Properties to be proud of

Super-flat, super-smooth

SCHOTT’s special flat glass sheets offer flawless surface properties as well as excellent cosmetic qualities, removing the need for further polishing. Highly advanced down-draw and up-draw techniques also produce sheets with excellent TTV properties and outstanding clarity.

Durable and reliable in tough conditions

Glass often needs to withstand high temperatures and challenging conditions. The excellent thermal and chemical resistance of SCHOTT glass sheets ensure durability and reliability, while certain material compositions are made for even higher mechanical loads or requirements because they can be chemically toughened for reliable function in demanding environments.

Excellent transmittance and transparency

High luminous transmittance, a colorless appearance and high transparency are key technical benefits of all our glass sheets. SCHOTT float glasses also possess a highly homogenous quality that ensures consistent performance across numerous applications.

Wide range of thicknesses, shapes and sizes

While SCHOTT’s range of sheet glass encompasses a huge variety of thicknesses, shapes and sizes, we can also produce individual solutions unique to your application. Whether standard or customized, the specifications and technical qualities of all our glasses are never compromised.
