Requirements:

  • Availability for at least two months if you are interested in a technical pre-study internship.
  • Availability for at least three months if you are interested in a specialized internship (beneficial on having completed the third semester).
  • Above average grades.
  • Very good English language knowledge.
  • Intercultural competences.
  • In the case of a mandatory internship, please submit an official university certificate referring to the internship period (in weeks or months). If you would like to complete an internship during your studies, please submit a current enrolment certificate.

Area-specific requirements:

  • Office: Very good German / English language knowledge. Depending on the department, good English language knowledge may be sufficient.
  • Production: Very good German language knowledge (minimum B2 Level), depending on the department.

  • If you are interested in writing a thesis, please submit an official certificate referring to the study regulations of the university (in weeks or months) and a current enrolment certificate. The length of time you spend at SCHOTT depends on the complexity of the theme and the study regulations of the respective university.

SCHOLARSHIP

Heinrich J. Klein Scholarship 

The Heinrich J. Klein Foundation was founded in 1993 by Dr. Heinrich J. Klein and his wife Dr. Liesel Klein, and was set up using considerable funds from their private resources. Dr. Heinrich J. Klein, who had been the first chairman of the SCHOTT management board until 1988, considered “internalization” as the center of his interest and actions.
