Testimonial Marius Lorenz – Development Engineer
I develop innovative glass-to-metal solutions for medical technology—from the initial concept to series maturity.
As a development engineer, I support projects from the initial customer inquiry through prototypes to series transfer. What I find particularly appealing is that our glass-to-metal feedthroughs are later used in medical applications such as endoscopes or implants. Knowing that our work makes a tangible contribution in sensitive fields motivates me every day.
Collaboration at SCHOTT is defined by mutual respect and a very collegial atmosphere. Despite the size of the company, you never feel anonymous. I experience that personal and health-related well-being are taken seriously. At the same time, the teams are technically strong and work closely together to solve complex technical challenges.
What makes SCHOTT special to me is its technological expertise and the commitment to continuously expand it. Through various programs, I also have the opportunity to network with other sites and create synergies. This combination of high-tech, international exchange, and team spirit is what makes the difference for me.
What matters here is collaboration.
Cohesion that endures
Success is teamwork. In our production, we rely on one another—with respect, clear communication, and genuine collaboration in every shift.
Safety as a given
Occupational safety is an integral part of our identity at SCHOTT. We create an environment where people feel protected and are empowered to perform at their best.
Diversity that unites
Different cultures, experiences, and perspectives – our teams are international, and our cohesion is strong.
