We also offer FIOLAX® clear with controlled hydrolytic resistance (CHR) with certified quality of the tubing’s inner surface. FIOLAX® amber has all the benefits of FIOLAX® clear, but also offers protection for light-sensitive drug formulations against the degrading effects of ultraviolet and short-wave visible light. With these unique properties, FIOLAX® amber fulfills very strict packaging requirements for the protection of injectable medicines.
FIOLAX® amber has a proven track record for securing the long-term stability of light-sensitive drugs. Its ability to resist the harmful effects of UV light is certified on every FIOLAX® amber tubing pallet, and it fulfills the light-protection requirements of Ph. Eur. and USP, according to ISO standards. The stable composition of this Type I glass ensures a consistent color for the amber, which is created by the addition of iron and titanium oxide. As with FIOLAX® clear, FIOLAX® amber possesses outstanding material quality with narrow tolerances, resulting in smooth machine operation and superior product quality.

Used especially for vials and ampoules, this Type I high borosilicate glass (3.3 glass) features high chemical and hydrolytic resistance, as well as outstanding resistance to thermal shock, and is highly suited for injectable solutions.
Like FIOLAX® clear and FIOLAX® amber, BORO-8330™ glass has a consistent composition. It’s also of free of alkaline earth metals and, for borosilicate glass, has minimum aluminum content. It’s also fully compliant with international regulatory standards, including Ph. Eur. and USP, and is especially popular in the United States. As with FIOLAX® glass, BORO-8330™ possesses outstanding material quality with narrow tolerances, which results in smooth machine operation and superior product quality.
Further customization options include different tube end finishes with open or closed ends, and an anti-scratch coating, which protects the tubing during transport.
