ROBAX® IR SuperMax heat-reflective coating

This coated fire-viewing panel reflects significantly more heat back into the combustion chamber than an uncoated ROBAX® panel to provide a comfortable room temperature and prevent overheating. Thus, the distance to walls or furniture can be shortened and the fireplace can become the center of every living space. Additionally, reduction of emissions are possible.

Due to increased heating of the inside of the glass-ceramic panel, the surface of the panel is less subject to soot buildup. This pyrolysis-like effect allows for an unclouded, clear view of the fire and significantly reduces the cleaning effort. Additionally, reduction of emissions are possible. Therefore, ROBAX® IR SuperMax was awarded "Winner" in the category "Materials & Surfaces".

Cozy up. Clean less. Chill more.

Soot soiling on the fire-viewing panel occurs with nearly every combustion. The hotter and more efficient the combustion process, the less soot is deposited. This is exactly where the new ROBAX® IR SuperMax technology comes in. While the coated glass-ceramic ROBAX® IR Max already reflects an increased proportion of the heat radiation back into the combustion chamber compared to an uncoated ROBAX® fire-viewing panel, ROBAX® IR SuperMax extends the “Smart Heat” portfolio with an even higher reflection. This ensures higher temperatures in the combustion chamber and a more efficient combustion process.

The IR SuperMax principle

An uncoated ROBAX® fire-viewing panel reflects very little heat radiation back into the combustion chamber.

ROBAX® IR Max reflects a higher infrared radiation back into the combustion chamber than uncoated ROBAX® fire-viewing panels.

The ROBAX® IR SuperMax coating achieves an even higher reflection of heat radiation back into the combustion chamber compared to ROBAX® IR Max or an uncoated ROBAX® fire-viewing panel.

Simply sustainable

Easy handling of the fireplace is the be-all and end-all for most owners. Especially because heating with wood as a renewable resource is increasingly becoming the focus for sustainable living. ROBAX® IR SuperMax has a positive effect on this since, in addition to easy cleaning, the increased reflection power of the coated glass-ceramic also counteracts overheating of the living space. This phenomenon is particularly noticeable in well-insulated low-energy and passive houses. At the same time, the more efficient combustion process can also significantly reduce emissions.
