SCHOTT Villa

Otto Schott (1851 - 1935) is considered the founder of modern glass science and pioneer of the special glass industry. In 1884, together with Ernst Abbe and Carl Zeiss, he founded the Glastechnisches Laboratorium Schott & Gen, today's SCHOTT AG.

In the SCHOTT Villa in Jena, where Otto Schott once lived with his family, his life's work and the corporate and innovation history of the SCHOTT Group are presented in various exhibitions.

In addition to exploring the real exhibits, visitors to the museum can also embark on a digital journey through time using a smartphone or tablet and a free app.

The virtual tour of the SCHOTT Villa offers a first impression.

Opening times:

Tuesday to Thursday: 01.00 pm until 05.00 pm.

Admission free!

Bus parking available.

The SCHOTT Villa is accessible to wheel chair users.
