Expectations?I was looking for a new challenge and to work in an international work environment. I was testing myself whether I was able to integrate and to work efficiently with people from around the world.
I worked in sales in India before coming to SCHOTT and was curious to explore similar areas in a different company/industry. I applied for a position at SCHOTT, because they offered the profile I was looking for and also deal with different industries as they have a wide range of products.
I wanted to get a glimpse of all of it by being a part of it.
Team Culture?I am feeling really comfortable in my department, because I have very nice colleagues and supervisors. If I have a question, my colleagues always try to find time for me and help me with the respective issue. So, they give me the feeling that I do not have to feel ashamed for asking a lot of questions.
Daily Tasks?I often work with our Brandguide and with our Media Pool.
The branding department is responsible for the SCHOTT Corporate Identity (CI) and informs the SCHOTT employees how the CI has to look like.
Our Media Pool is a platform where ad materials of any kind are collected. Employees have access to those materials such as ads and videos and can use them for marketing purposes or presentations.
What's your next milestone? After working as an enabler of change, I would like to work on implementing the change as it deals not just with processes or tools but also with people which I find very interesting.
Application Tips?It does not (only) depend on grades!
If you are very passionate about something, then try to point this out clearly.
Moreover, if your eyes are starting to shine during an interview, because you are talking about a certain topic, this is much more important to the interviewer than your performance in school or university. Companies are not looking for superbrains, they are looking for people they can rely on and have a great working relationship with.
Benefits?SCHOTT is a very employee-friendly company, which means, that if you have any concerns you are never left alone.
Despite the size of the company you feel very integrated and welcome at any time. Interns are treated like regular employees and get many opportunities, insights as well as responsibility.
