50 years on the moon

Neil Armstrong gets optical glass from SCHOTT
Neil Armstrong left the moon 50 years ago after two and a half hours. The cameras with the optical glasses from SCHOTT that were responsible for the spectacular images of that time are probably still there today. Instead of photo and film cameras, the astronauts took moon rocks back to Earth. However, Armstrong (left) did not have to deal without optical glass from SCHOTT for long: During his visit to Germany in 1970, he got the same glass as a memento.
