Otto Schott (1851-1935) was one of the most important scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs of his time. Visitor’s can gain insight into the many facets of his life’s work in the SCHOTT Villa in Jena, where he lived and worked.


Further exhibitions accompany the visitor on a journey through the company’s history which has been marked by separation and reunification, as well as its rise to an international technology group.

The SCHOTT Villa will be closed to all visitors from March 17 to April 20, 2020.
The aim of the measure is to exclude possible contact chains of the corona virus spread
and thereby reduce the spreading speed.
