The business unit Electronic Packaging started in Landshut in 1941 as a branch of Jenaer Glaswerk Schott & Gen. It was SCHOTT's first production site for glass-to-metal seals. In 1948, the management moved from Jena via Heidenheim to Landshut. Today, SCHOTT in Landshut comprises two production sites that manufacture a broad range of glass-to-metal seals and other electronic packages.
