With over one million certifications globally, ISO9001 is one of the most recognized and well-established quality management systems in the world. The standard focuses on improvements to internal processes to meet customer needs as well as regulatory requirements.

“We are very happy to share with our customers and stakeholders that SCHOTT Primoceler has received the 9001 certification,” commented Ville Hevonkorpi, Managing Director of SCHOTT Primoceler in Tampere. “This was a full team effort that was enabled by an existing prioritization of quality in all that we do in our facility.”

Serving end-use applications that include medical implants with strict regulatory parameters and micro-optics with high-precision requirements, quality and consistency are fundamental building blocks for hermetically sealed components using SCHOTT Primoceler’s Glass Micro Bonding technology. This new ISO9001 certification sends a clear message to both existing and prospective customers that SCHOTT Primoceler places the highest priority on quality standards in the development and manufacture of all-glass hermetic packages.
