SCHOTT AG donates 3,500 euros to UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund. Funds went to UNICEF’s “All children in school” initiative.

The donation comes from SCHOTT’s most recent worldwide customer survey, which the Mainz specialty glass manufacturer conducts every two years. Promoting its corporate value of “acting responsibly,” the company pledged two euros to UNICEF for every survey it received. The campaign was well received as 1,750 customers took part in the survey.

“We are delighted that this donation will support UNICEF’s great commitment to children. We wanted to make sure that the money went to an education project because education is a vital element for a better future, especially for children in poorer regions of the world,” explains Salvatore Ruggiero, Vice President Marketing and Communication at the SCHOTT Group.

“On behalf of UNICEF Germany, I thank SCHOTT for their generous support. Every child in the world has the right to go to school. Your donation supports UNICEF in its efforts to fulfill this right for every child, even and especially in the poorest and most unstable regions,” says Dagmar-Katrin Sieker, Head of Volunteering at the UNICEF Working Group in Mainz.
