“The pharmaceutical industry lives in a state of flux, as some of the world’s largest companies face industry-shifting trends, such as the rise in generic drugs, the increase in biotech pharmaceuticals, the growth of self-administered applications, and ever-changing government regulations,” said Michael Vollgold, Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at SCHOTT. “As organizations navigate these new waters, Chris’ deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector will enable us to forge new partnerships, strengthen our market expertise, and broaden the success of adaptiQ, Vials DC, syriQ, and our other packaging systems in step with today’s shifting pharmaceutical landscape.”

Cassidy brings a breadth of experience in leading business-to-business sales, promotions, and marketing to his new role. He served most recently as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Chesapeake Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Packaging. Prior to that, Cassidy worked as Director of Sales and Marketing for Helvoet Pharma, Inc. At the start of his career, Cassidy spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical glass packaging sector.

“As the pharmaceutical industry presses toward more personalized, sensitive, and potent drugs, the importance of pharmaceutical packaging grows ever more crucial,” said Cassidy. “Because SCHOTT’s pharmaceutical packaging defines quality, value, and safety with every syringe, cartridge, and vial, we are uniquely positioned to deliver effective pharmaceutical packaging solutions that meet the needs of the world’s latest and greatest drugs. As Vice President Sales and Marketing, I plan to build on this tradition of excellence, introduce SCHOTT’s complete portfolio to a broader network of industry partners, and grow our pharmaceutical packaging services throughout North America.”
