Senior Account Manager & Business Development Manager

SCHOTT Electronic Packaging is a leading developer and manufacturer of hermetic housings and other components for the reliable, long-term protection of sensitive electronics. Our core technologies are glass-to-metal and ceramic-to-metal sealing, thermal sensing components as well as a variety of cutting edge specialty glass competences. To strengthen our sales team of Business Unit Electronic Packaging we are looking for a Senior Account Manager & Business Development Manager at our Shanghai Office.

Your tasks

Evaluation of Sales Development Opportunities in China
  • In charge of sales and promotion for both existing and new products. Be capable to handle new customers and applications (Automotive Electronics, Lithium cell/battery for electric vehicle, Opto electronics for telecom and Datacom)
  • Have technical business development capabilities, analyze, understand and develop markets in an early stage both operationally and conceptually
  • Identify, evaluate and develop new market opportunity of electronics packages with hermetical requirements for harsh environment applications. Evaluates opportunities in detail with regard to market, technology, competitors, product requirements, new sales channels, etc
  • Determine market/customer requirements and demands. Work out business plans and recommendation to the decision-makers and prepares and coordinates the management decision-making process with SBF (strategic business field)
  • Facilitate discussions between R&D and customers
  • Support the SBF (strategic business field) manager in identifying and strengthening a clearly defined (unique) value proposition
Project Work (HTR project)
  • Facilitate project contract negotiation, technical discussion between project R&D and customer. Liaise and implement the project management process (HTR)
  • Sales development for large scale feedthrough for LNG application in China
Performs other duties as assigned.

Your profile

  • Master or Bachler degree in Material Science/Engineering, Physics, or Electronics Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in technical sales, technical business development
  • Experience in automotive electronics/components will be a plus
  • Proficient in English
