Prof. Donald Bruce Dingwell
Professor Donald B. Dingwell is an outstanding scientist whose work on the thermomechanical properties of silicate glasses and melts has made a significant impact in the fields of geoscience, glass science and glass technology. He has published more than 300 papers addressing water solubility in melts, compositional effects on viscosity and thermal expansion, and viscoelastic response of both simple and complex glasses. These fundamentals have also contributed to an improved understanding of the melting and forming of industrial glasses.
