SCHOTT goes Family – The intercultural program for young people

SCHOTT goes Family is an international exchange program which addresses the children of SCHOTT employees worldwide. It provides young people between 14 and 19 the opportunity to gain new and unforgettable experiences. SCHOTT covers costs for fights, visa and vaccinations.
"Such an exchange is a great possibility for young people. It supports the mutual understanding and contributes to personality formation. International experiences are becoming more and more important and valuable in an increasingly globalized world, says Dr. Frank Heinricht, Chairman of the Board of Management."

Since the beginning of the program in 2014, more than 200 children from 18 different countries already participated. The exchange pair is always together in one place and takes part in the family life. The teenagers spend a total of four weeks together, two weeks in their home country and two weeks in the country of the host family. As a side effect, the parents working at the various SCHOTT locations get to know each other a little bit, which is also Connected Company minded.

For example, Germany, the USA, China, Japan, Czech Republic, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, India, Canada, France and the Netherlands have been explored in recent years and many international friendships have been made.
