NEW: SCHOTT CONTURAN® Tough AS

SCHOTT has expanded its well-known CONTURAN® product range of advanced anti-reflective cover glasses with a new aluminosilicate base substrate. It offers superior mechanical stability in a thin and light weight glass thickness. CONTURAN® Tough AS provides over 50 % higher break and impact resistance as a comparable standard soda-lime float glass.

CONTURAN® is robust and can withstand a lot – which dramatically sets this glass apart from its competitors. Frequent and intensive problem-free cleaning will not damage the glass - the anti-reflective coating of CONTURAN® has been specially designed for the needs of medical technology. Even aggressive detergents* typically used in medical facilities won’t damage the anti-reflective coating. We’ve tested it thoroughly!

Reconstruction of the “Haus zur Goldenen Waage” [House of the Golden Scales] is a highlight of the “DomRömer” urban building project in Frankfurt am Main. SCHOTT provided 390 restoration glass panes to give the Renaissance facade an authentic look.
