High-Precision Dilatometer

Quality assessment of our ZERODUR® glass ceramic with extremely low thermal expansion coefficients ranging from 0 ± 1 · 10–7 · K-1 to 0 ± 7 · 10–9 · K-1 requires high-precision measurement equipment.

SCHOTT’s specially developed pushrod dilatometer combines state-of-the-art technology with our many years of experience. The pushrod dilatometer is capable of measuring coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE) in ZERODUR® with a reproducibility of up to 1 · 10–9 (1 ppb/K) as standard in a temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C. On request, the thermal expansion coefficient can also be determined for an extended temperature range.
