Clear Float Toughened

Shapes and colours to suit every design

Clear Float Toughened is a thermally toughened soda-lime float glass which is usually clear, but can also be supplied tinted. Due to its particular resistance to thermal shock, temperature gradients and mechanical loads (e.g. bending and impact) Clear Float Toughened is an ideal material for many applications.

Clear Float Toughened is usually supplied as flat panels, but other shapes can also be produced. Within a wide range, edges can be worked, and holes can be drilled in accordance with a customer's wishes. Bent or curved panels can also be supplied on request. The surface of the material can be plain, mirrored, heat reflective or printed. Screen printing technology allows virtually all possible colours which permits all possibilities for instance the RAL range and intermediate shades allowing unlimited possibilities of design. Glued on components such as hinges, magnets, material brackets and bars for easy assembly and components for aesthetic purposes are also possible, subject to consultation with the factory. Clear Float Toughened offers the opportunity to provide uniform solutions for the kitchen: Oven door panels, matching glass doors for the wall units, splash backs as well as the possibility of matching CERAN® cooktop surfaces. Glass is a contemporary material. It is non-porous and easy to clean. It is anti-static, smooth and keeps its shape. It is scratch resistant and long lasting. Clear Float Toughened is a thermally toughened glass and is therefore extremely resistant to thermal and mechanical loads and particularly safe. Clear Float Toughened is available in thicknesses 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 19 & 25mm.
