SCHOTT manufactures reflectors for dental lamps in all technically feasible shapes and sizes. We work together with customers to achieve the optimum illumination where brightness, colour, shape and uniformity of the light field are the main concerns.

The combination of SUPRAX® 8488 special borosilicate glass for the reflector body applied with a high quality SiO2/TiO2 coating offer excellent durability against temperature and aging.
Be assured of excellent lighting
SCHOTT calculate the geometry of its dental reflectors to give maximum luminous flux. Additionally, the light's brilliance and colour is evenly distributed across the lighted area. We use cold light mirror coatings to minimise the thermal heat from the lamp, making temperature levels comfortable to work and sit beneath. These coatings also convert the light of the halogen bulb (approx 3000k) to the desired colour temperature, within the range of 4000 to 6000k. The coatings have a colour-rendering index of more than 90, which ensures the dentist sees the true colour of the patients teeth.
Alternative to bespoke reflectors


SCHOTT offers customers a reflector in a standard design to reduce the high costs involved in making bespoke reflectors if only a small quantity is required. Please contact us for more information.
