Interchangeable
For many years laboratories of all types have valued DURAN® flat flange reaction vessels for their multi-purpose use. SCHOTT supplies an extensive range of blanks and finished items which can provide the optimum solution for each individual application, whether it be reaction, distillation, evaporation or desiccation.
SCHOTT's flat flange and reaction vessels have a number of special features:

- the high angle of taper (45°) results in a very robust design
- the 3 segment, stainless steel quick release clamp ensures easy and safe handling
- the body and lid of the flat flange and reaction vessels have the same normal diameter, making them interchangeable
- proven flange design - flat ground, with or without groove, suitable for any seal required
- beaded lid design for safer handling: vessels can be changed without taking the apparatus apart

SCHOTT supplies round bottom cylinders for the manufacture of jacketed vessels. The matching inner and outer vessels are available in a standard length of 400 mm in various diameters up to 250 mm. The cylinders can be cracked off at the appropriate length so that reaction vessels can be manufactured with capacities ranging from 250ml to 10 litres.
The range of interchangeable glassware is large and provides many products with standard ground sockets such as boiling flasks and Erlenmeyer flasks with a host of jointed tubular items, condensers and dropping funnels to provide the appropriate apparatus for many chemical reactions.
Plastic screw caps, glass and plastic stoppers, plastic connectors for rubber hoses, rubber seals, stirrer bearing shafts and the well known Keck® joint clips add to this section of the Duran catalogue.
