DURAN® - the name of safety

The basic material for most of the products listed is DURAN®, the borosilicate glass developed by SCHOTT, which now represents the standard for laboratories all over the world. Other materials used in the production of laboratory products include the SCHOTT glasses AR-Glas®, a soda lime glass and FIOLAX® - 100% Optically Controlled tubing, a 4.9 expansion borosilicate glass.

AR-Glas® is a clear soda lime glass of the third hydrolytic class with a high content of alkali and alkaline earth oxides. AR-Glas® is characterised by its wide variety of applications which are e.g. in the fields of pharmacy, medicine, cosmetics and the food industry.

FIOLAX® - 100% Optically Controlled tubing is a chemically highly resistant special glass (Hydrolytic class 1) known generally as a 'Neutral' glass and is use in the SCHOTT laboratory range to manufacture test tubes.

A comprehensive range of Beakers, Boiling Flasks, Erlenmeyer Flasks, Test Tubes, Distillation Flasks and a variety of other products for use in the laboratory. The main material used in the manufacture of these products is SCHOTT Duran® 3.3 low expansion Borosilicate glass.
