Desiccators

There are 5 types of DURAN® desiccators in the SCHOTT range as well as all the appropriate spare parts such as bases, lids, desiccator plates and a variety of accessories. All desiccators and individual parts are made from the tried and tested DURAN® borosilicate glass 3.3 except the desiccator plates. Plates are available in metal or porcelain.

Typical styles are:



  • Desiccators with ring groove flange and NOVUS ground joint tubulature
  • Desiccators with flat flanges and NOVUS ground joint tubulature
  • Desiccators with flat flanges, knob lid and NOVUS ground joint tubulature in side wall of base
  • Desiccators with WERTEX safety joint
  • Desiccators with flat flanges and MOBILEX screw thread joints, with a stopcock outlet.
Due to the precision manufacture of DURAN® desiccators, the same spare parts, such as bases, lids, stopcocks and closures, are fully interchangeable. The flexibility in combining the different parts of the DURAN® system offers many variations depending on our customer's individual requirements.
