OPALIKA®
OPALIKA® White Flashed Opal Glass consists of a colourless base glass and a thin white flashed layer making it an ideal medium for light transmission for many architectural applications.

OPALIKA® is suitable for applications where lighting problems occur, such as limited ceiling height in rooms and in interiors where natural light is shut out or there is not enough natural light. Overhead glazing using OPALIKA® ensures even lighting conditions to create the illusion of natural light, increasing the visual height of rooms and at the same time giving the feeling of more air and space.

The other distinct benefits offered by OPALIKA® are dimensional stability, resistance to aging, scratch-resistant, non-inflammability, insensitivity to climatic conditions and antistatic properties.

OPALIKA® can be manufactured in various thicknesses without any appreciable change in its absorption and diffusion properties. OPALIKA® is a versatile material since, owing to its diffuse light transmission with little shadowing, it can be used in lighting, for example in hospitals, as well as in interior design.

OPALIKA® can also be combined with coloured glass for decorative glazing.

OPALIKA® is available in a range of thicknesses from nominal 2mm up to 6mm with dimensions of up to 170 x 240cm leaving plenty of scope for the designers imagination. It can also be toughened for applications where safety is paramount.
