CONTURAN™ solves reflection problems

Disturbing reflections can be far more serious than just a nuisance. Ordinary glass causes reflections, obscuring messages on displays and monitors, making them difficult to read. Incorrect reading of poorly illuminated displays can have disastrous consequences. However, such problems can be easily overcome with CONTURAN™ anti-reflective glass.

Products which are made safer and more user friendly by CONTURAN™ include:

  • Computer monitors, measuring instruments, TVs, etc.
  • Train departure/arrival display panels
  • Operating panels, membrane keypads
  • Dashboard displays for cars and lorries
What is CONTURAN™? What are the basic advantages of CONTURAN™?
CONTURAN™ is a coated glass with light
reflectivity of less than 1% compared to 8% with ordinary glass. 		-Significant reduction of disturbing reflections
-Clear visibility

A special dipping process which fires the
anti-reflective metal oxide coatings into the surface of the float glass. 		-Easy cleaning
-Contract-enhancing effect (CONTURAN™ Grey)




The following CONTURAN™ versions are available, depending upon the type of substrate glass used:

  • CONTURAN™ Standard made of conventional float glass
  • CONTURAN™ Magic made of white float glass with low iron content
  • CONTURAN™ Grey made of grey float glass which is contrast enhancing and provides better legibility
  • CONTURAN™ can also be toughened or laminated for safety glazing.
