CERAN® for gas

A wide range of electric cooking appliances containing CERAN® has proved itself over the years and now, in addition, there is a comprehensive concept for gas cooking appliances with CERAN®. SCHOTT has introduced a wide spectrum of a complete product family. There is a host of possible combinations. They range from pure gas cookers with open flames above the surface of the cooktop and radiant gas burners under the cooking surface, to a mixture of the two types of burners. They can also be combined with electric heating elements fitted under the cooking surface. In other words, users can find a cooking appliance just right for their requirements. All the models are alike in providing the well-known benefits of glass ceramic cooktop panels such as attractive and distinguished design coupled with ease of cleaning.

CERAN® Duomatic™

For those who want to cook with both gas and electricity beneath the glass ceramic surface, CERAN® Duomatic™ is the answer. Here, a single cooktop has a combination of radiant gas burners and various types of electric heating elements. The latter, for example, can be used in the form of dual heating elements or oval, making it possible to use different shapes and sizes of cookware without wasting energy. In this way both types of heating elements can be arranged individually in the cooktop unit.

CERAN® Flamatic™

By combining open gas flames above the CERAN® cooktop panel with radiant gas burners beneath it the strengths of the two burner systems can be used in a single cooktop. The open flame is ideal for rapid browning. The radiant burners react very quickly and provide uniform heat distribution. With a CERAN® Flamatic™ cooktop, electricity is only used additionally to provide lighting the flame.

CERAN® Flam™

The CERAN® Flam™ is the cooktop for people who only want to cook on open gas burners. The decisive benefits of CERAN® such as ease of care and cleaning are supplemented here by efficient, design-orientated burners and specially designed pan supports. The flatness of the burners and pan supports is in fact a distinctive design feature which is only possible due to the high temperature load resistance of CERAN®. With the CERAN® Flam™ system the burners are designed specially for CERAN® to ensure that anything which boils over cannot seep into the interior of the cooktop unit. In the event of the unit malfunctioning a thermo-electric safety pilot immediately cuts off the gas supply.

CERAN® Matic™

In CERAN® Matic™ cooking systems radiant gas burners are used under the glass ceramic cooktop surface. This provides the same benefits as electric radiant elements and a high standard of safety. Residual heat indicators or sensor controls can be incorporated in these cooktops in the same way as electric cooktops with CERAN®. This means that markets where gas is the only form of energy used can now enjoy the benefits of CERAN® which were previously only available with electric heating elements in 'electric' markets.

CERAN® Duoflam™

CERAN® Duoflam™ combines the benefits of electric cooking zones and open gas burners. Gas can be used when high and rapid heat is required (such as searing meat) and then, when later stages of the cooking process call for fine adjustment of the heat, the pan can be moved onto an electric cooking zone. The number of the different types of cooking zones can be combined and arranged to suit individual requirements. The variety of electric heating elements to suit different pan sizes provides further flexibility.
