Every panel is a design statement

The main focus of the Gallery of Modern Panels is on design-oriented SCHOTT ROBAX® fire viewing panels

The fire viewing panel in a fireplace allows a clear view of the fire. At the same time, it protects us from the flames. It thus plays a very important role: it has to function reliably and, at the same time, look attractive. After all, an elegantly designed panel greatly enhances the entire fireplace. SCHOTT, the company that specializes in fire viewing panels, will be presenting unusual models made of its ROBAX® glass-ceramic at its Gallery of Modern Panels at Progetto Fuoco in Verona, Italy. From February 24 – 28, 2016, SCHOTT will be exhibiting at booth D18 in hall 9.

“ROBAX® glass-ceramic is a very versatile material. And it is extremely attractive. We want to inspire our visitors and encourage them to be creative. For this reason, we will be taking advantage of this opportunity to present our wide variety of design options in a gallery. In fact, our customers will even be able to design a 3-D fireplace viewing panel,” explains Isabel Eymael, Marketing Director for SCHOTT ROBAX® in reference to the booth concept. Here, a few examples of the exhibits:

Angularly shaped ROBAX® fire viewing panels
Angularly shaped panels with one or two bending edges meet the wishes of end users for 3-D solutions for a continuous, generous view of the fire. According to a survey of 300 people who plan purchases commissioned by SCHOTT, angular shaped fireplace viewing panels made of a single pane of glass-ceramic combine the well-known quality of ROBAX® with modernity, timelessness, elegance, aesthetics and a sense of style. At the same time, they accommodate the needs of fireplace manufacturers to stand out in the market with unique panel designs.

ROBAX® Ambience exterior fireplace cladding
ROBAX® Ambience glass-ceramic panels are ideal for use as highly resistant exterior claddings for stoves and fireplaces. “They meet the current demand of fireplace manufacturers for alternative, design-oriented materials for use in the exterior cladding and are therefore very much in vogue,” says Eymael. This opens up new, large-scale design options for upscale aesthetics in room heating devices that require low thermal expansion and yet high temperature resistance. The material colors range from black, gray, translucent blue gray and white to translucent and transparent. ROBAX® Ambience exterior cladding can be custom decorated with a wide range of environmentally friendly, ceramic colors.
