SCHOTT Type I plus® for improved chemical stability and inertness
SCHOTT Type I plus®: Undesired interactions between drugs and containers can be avoided by SCHOTT PI-coating®
Biotech Solutions

SCHOTT understands the challenges of packaging, storing and administrating Biotech drugs like monoclonal antibodies, therapeutic proteins, and vaccines. To improve the chemical stability, the shelf life and application of large molecule biopharmaceuticals, SCHOTT offers the following solutions:

SCHOTT Type I plus® - Coated vials
SCHOTT TopLyo™ - Coated vials
SCHOTT InJentle™ - Staked needle syringes
SCHOTT TopPac® syringes

Special coatings
SCHOTT TopLyo™ vials improve the efficiency of the lyophilisation process
SCHOTT Type I Plus®

To improve the chemical stability and the shelf life of the medication, we apply extremely thin barrier layers to the inside surface of the vial. Undesired interactions between drugs and containers that induce adsorption, aggregation or limited stability of drugs can be avoided by this special coating.
SCHOTT Type I Plus®

SCHOTT TopLyo™

Hydrophobic (water-repellent) coatings show an extremely smooth surface. This is important to low concentrated proteins in terms of the residual volume and the consequent loss of material. This by overfilling caused cost is certainly not negligible for such expensive ingredients used for e.g. the therapeutic areas oncology or arthritis, immune and inflammatory deceases.
SCHOTT TopLyo™

InJentle™ with scientist SCHOTT InJentle™ To avoid any contact of highly sensitive biotech drugs with tungsten, adhesive or needle metal, SCHOTT developed the InJentle™ staked needle syringes.

SCHOTT InJentle™

SCHOTT TopPac® (COC Syringes)

Sterile prefillable syringe systems are suitable for packaging and administering large-molecule biopharmaceuticals. Low extractables, no ions and heavy metals, and lower free silicone reduce the drug container interaction. SCHOTT TopPac®
