New “Sterile Standard Syringe Set” for sampling purposes

St. Gallen (Switzerland), January 15, 2009 - SCHOTT forma vitrum offers a complete syringe package with all components and full documentation ready-to-deliver from stock.

Sterile Standard Syringe Set
With the new “Sterile Standard Syringe Set” SCHOTT forma vitrum , St. Gallen, offers its customers a complete package, that includes a forma 3s ® syringe and all necessary syringe components as well as a complete documentation for lab tests of the products. “We want to make it quick and easy for our customers to get prefillable glass syringes for sampling purposes,” explains Bernhard Elsener, Vice President Global Sales & Marketing.

The main advantages for the customers are: quick lead times – goods will leave the factory three weeks after they have been ordered; a full set, including forma 3s ® syringe barrels, sterilized state-of-the-art plungers, tip caps and plunger rods; and a full documentation. The syringe barrels are produced at the SCHOTT forma vitrum site in Switzerland. The documentation folder includes packaging related information necessary to register a product at the local authorities.

SCHOTT forma vitrum offers two different sizes and four different plunger configurations in sample size quantities. Production volumes will also be available from stock. “We believe that we are the first supplier worldwide to provide a fully commissioned syringe set including lab test data from stock,“ says Elsener. “The big advantage for our customers is a reduced time-to-market for launching new products.”
