Hybrid Assemblies
Sophisticated hybrid assemblies further enhance traditional capabilities by incorporating visual methods using SCHOTT's flexible image bundles. These next generation diagnostic and therapeutic devices will be used to detect and treat deseased tissue within the human body.

Diagnostics
SCHOTT's custom fibers and assemblies represent critical components in a myriad of sensor applications incorporating methods of spectroscopy, fluoroscopy and colorimetry. In today's healthcare industry, high throughput methods are used in areas of clinical disease identification. Such applications use single and multi-branched fiber optic components to transmit energy to a medium and translate the response to a detector for further processing. SCHOTT's high quality, specialized fibers and methods improve "single-to-noise" performance, thus increasing system sensitivity and performance for UV through IR applications.





Illumination
SCHOTT is also capable of incorporating either its current light source products or custom designs into our customers' system requirements. Light generated from LED, metal halide or traditional halogen light sources can be formulated into OEM designs. SCHOTT also has the capability to build complete sub-assemblies addressing light emission, optical conducting medium, as well as detection components. All can be reviewed with your engineers and designers.
