The SCHOTT Spectra^™ Light Source 50 and 55 ranges of light sources are general purpose illuminators for use with SCHOTT glass fiber harnesses with standard S30 common ends. They use a 50W Tungsten Halogen lamp. A small fan blows air through the unit to keep it cool.

SCHOTT Spectra^™ Light Source 50H & 55H models are white light light sources. With the addition of a 45 x 45mm fixed effect filter they can produce a single fixed color of light.

SCHOTT Spectra^™ Light Source 50CH & 55CH models have a motor drive. When used with effect wheel the color of light changes continuously according to the pattern on the effect wheel. The effect wheel may be removed and a fixed effect filter may be fitted if desired.

SCHOTT Spectra^™ Light Source 50CHR &55CHR models have a motor drive and a remote switch input to control the lamp on/off by means of an isolated circuit, e.g. via a push button switch or pressure mat etc. The motor rotates continuously and independently from the remote switch input.

SCHOTT Spectra^™ Light Source 55CHC model has a motor drive and a remote switch input to control the motor. This can be used to stop an effect wheel at a specific color or light level while maintaining color temperature.
