SCHOTT Solar Wafer GmbH

Beginning with a joint venture between SCHOTT Solar AG and the Wacker Chemie AG in 2007, the company SCHOTT Solar Wafer GmbH is now a 100% subsidiary of the SCHOTT Solar AG. SCHOTT Solar Wafer GmbH originally grew out of the production of silicium cristallisation in Plant 1 in 2004. The company’s main business is the development, production and sale of multi-crystalline wafers for the photovoltaic industry. SCHOTT Solar Wafer GmbH stands out from the competition through the use of simulation optimized processes with sophisticated ovens, through advanced sawing processes with fully automatized blocking, as well as through a highly automatised wafering process, which allows high output with the highest quality standards.
SCHOTT Solar Wafer GmbH takes advantage of a comprehensive research and development network in addition to its own internal R&D capacity to ensure continuous development of its processes. Product quality is our passion.
