How researchers benefit from coated NEXTERION® glass slides.

When it matters most, the coating is practically unnoticeable. And in addition to high transparency, the low bio-fluorescence of an antibody microarray is the critical aspect to the success story of NEXTERION®. It allows the selected biomolecule to remain in place so that the patient samples bond only in the areas where the spots are located and thus patient samples bond only in the areas where spots can be found. The color signals are easy to distinguish and guarantee not only a high standard of scientific results, but are also reliably reproducible. The microarrays are available in a number of standard coatings for DNA, antibodies, proteins and a number of biomolecules. Together with a high-grade borosilicate glass produced in Jena, the assorted product variations are a unique feature of SCHOTT, including the ability to monitor the entire manufacturing process, thereby guaranteeing the highest quality possible. Cleanroom conditions are applied to the coatings. The standard size of the slides is 75.6 x 25 mm with a thickness ranging from 1 mm up to 100 µm (micrometer).
