Eco-friendly SCHOTT CERAN®

 |
Simply greener - Eco-friendly SCHOTT CERAN®Frogs are very sensitive animals. In fact they are more sensitive than most other species when it comes to changes in their environ-ment. Additionally, the frog in our image is a particularly green one – and therefore represents two very important characteristics of SCHOTT CERAN®: for once, the required sensitivity when it comes to protecting the environment, but also the fact that SCHOTT CERAN® is a “greener” product developed from this knowledge and sensitivity.
At SCHOTT CERAN®, we innovate to make a difference. Take our patented production process for example: it eliminates the use of the toxic heavy metals arsenic and antimony. This removes an impressive 180 tons per year of these materials which would otherwise be needed in order to manufacture the glass-ceramic material. This makes SCHOTT CERAN® exceptionally eco-friendly – a giant leap for protecting the environment.
In its capacity as technology and innovation leader, SCHOTT is extremely well positioned thanks to the top quality connoted by the phrase "Made in Germany". Time and again SCHOTT has set new standards with its patented high-tech processes and cutting-edge, resource-efficient manufacturign processes.
SCHOTT CERAN® has developed the only glass ceramic hob in the world produced without the toxic heavy metals arsenic and antimony and has set new standards in kindness to the environment. With the product’s unique composition of materials, SCHOTT already meets future ecological standards and proves its innovative strength as the market lead once again. 70 percent of glass ceramic hobs can now be produced in this way. SCHOTT’s medium term plans are to change the complete production of hobs to include these standards.
Superior quality glass ceramic SCHOTT CERAN® products are identified by the SCHOTT CERAN® logo on each cooktop panel, which are the customers' guarantee that they are purchasing a genuine CERAN® cooktop.
