Optical, laser and photodiodes used in communication and sensor technology applications are highly susceptible to the effects of humidity, temperature fluctuations and other physical and chemical environmental conditions. With the growing trend of replacing electrical signals with optical ones, the importance of protecting these opto-electronics components is correspondingly increasing.

The core objective of our Opto-Electronics Product Division is to offer long-lasting protection for opto-electronic components, which at the same time allows for the safe transmission of optical signals. This indicates that hermetically sealed housings have to feature a range of special optical properties. As a leading manufacturer of opto-electronic housings, we have extensive experience in the development and production of a wide variety of specialist glass products suited for this need.

Our Opto-Electronics Division manufactures three different types of opto-electronics products:

TO Packages: TO headers and TO caps
Hybrid / Microelectronic packages
Products for high frequency applications
