With its natural power campaign, fireplace viewing panel manufacturer SCHOTT ROBAX® is calling upon the fireplace industry and its customers to deal with the valuable energy source wood in an ecologically and economically responsible manner. After all, environmental friendliness and energy efficiency have been extremely important to the international technology group SCHOTT for some time.

SCHOTT in Mainz has been manufacturing in accordance with the most stringent German and EU environmental regulations and even exceeding their requirements for 60 years. Furthermore, anyone who uses a fireplace that features an innovative glass-ceramic viewing panel from SCHOTT ROBAX® makes a direct personal contribution to environmental protection. After all, compared to open fireplaces, fireplaces with ROBAX® viewing panels save up to 50% of the renewable energy source wood and yet still deliver the same heat output. Wood not only burns more efficiently behind these panels, but is also CO2 neutral and nearly free of fine dust.

“Wood is a valuable natural commodity that always grows back if it is treated responsibly. This is the main message of our natural power campaign,” explains Ruban Harikantha, Director of Marketing and Sales for SCHOTT ROBAX®. Sustainable forestry has been practiced in Europe, starting with Germany, since 1773. This means that all of the companies involved in forestry plant just as many trees as they cut down. In fact, this target has even been exceeded in Europe in recent years, which means that the forestry industry is making an important contribution to climate protection. Through its web to print shop, SCHOTT even offers industry players the chance to use the “Natural power? Yes, please!” logo that makes a powerful statement in their own communications activities. The use of the logo is also free of charge. In addition, a natural power online banner, a brochure entitled “What is actually sustainable?” and the film “The true story of the fireplace” can also be downloaded from the website.

And then, of course, there is also that stronger sensation of being safe in the comfort of our own homes. With fireplace viewing panels, you not only get to enjoy a great view of the dancing flames, but also protect yourself and your loved ones from dangerous flying sparks,” the expert adds.
