SCHOTT at PDA Europe: new test method for delamination

Basel/Mainz, November 8, 2011– At the 2011 PDA Universe of Pre-filled Syringes and Injection Devices in Basel, SCHOTT Pharmaceutical Systems today announced that it has developed a new test method for the field of delamination that allows for a quick routine control of the delamination tendency of tubular glass vials. In the course of the conference, which will take place from 7 to 11 November 2011, experts from SCHOTT will actively contribute to the program with presentations on different glass-related topics and packaging solutions for injectable drugs.
Enabling early detection of delamination tendencies
SCHOTT has developed a new test method for a quick routine control of the delamination tendency of tubular glass vials. The method allows for an efficient performance optimization of glass vials and provides machine operators with fast feedback enabling them to determine the delamination tendency already during the production process. The new test method has been filed for patent.

Demonstrated expertise at PDA Europe
