“INAIRVATION” leads Interior Design in the Sky

New alliance develops innovative interiors and electronic solutions for executive, VVIP and first class airline cabins
Four leading companies have teamed up to design the next generation aircraft interior environments for top-level business jets, VVIP aircraft and first class airline cabins. The "INAIRVATION" alliance was founded by the Innovation Business Unit of Lufthansa Technik AG, LIST components & furniture GmbH, DesignQ and Schott AG. The parties will act under the common brand "INAIRVATION", share their knowledge and assist each other in gaining access to new markets.

"We believe that the "INAIRVATION" alliance will revolutionise the way in which cabin systems are integrated into the interior," says Andrew Muirhead, Director of the Innovation Business Unit at Lufthansa Technik AG. "With the combined forces of Lufthansa Technik, LIST, DesignQ and Schott we will create a new dimension in cabin design which will drive innovation in this market."

"We trust in the pioneering spirit of the involved companies," says Helmut Wiesenberger, Director Business Development at LIST components & furniture GmbH. "We believe that the "INAIRVATION" alliance will allow us to bring cabin interior innovations and complete cabin solutions to the next level and generation."

"The "INAIRVATION" alliance offers a powerful opportunity to provide design-led solutions that integrate innovative technologies into the cabin," says Gary Doy, Director and co-founder of Design Q. "With a common belief in innovation and challenging convention there is no doubt that this team has the ability to generate class leading interior solutions for the cabin of the future."

"What makes us unique and valuable for our customers is the holistic integration of all competencies involved", Dr. Armin Plichta, General Manager Aviation at SCHOTT Lighting and Imaging states. "We look at the entire range of abilities right from the start. This enables us to simultaneously manage solutions which would not be possible when working in a more sequential style".
