How to become a SCHOTT supplier

The SPO (SCHOTT Procurement Office) for the SCHOTT group means new quality standards in our supplier relations. This platform unites all of our national and international purchasing activities. Easy communication
|
Accessing the Internet with the SPO account provided by us is the basis. We use the account to exchange offer information, taking advantage of the variety of possibilities offered by the system. We only deploy technologies that enable you a secure, safe connection when exchanging data. This makes the purchasing process easier and more transparent for both buyer and seller along the value-added chain. Everyone benefits.

The complete signup process
|
With your data at hand, filling out the forms will take only 3–5 minutes. The data entry fields are self-explanatory. You can also download a sample form first. Please remember that the fields marked in red need to be filled out.

First, you need to enter your supplier data in the SPO signup form. This includes general company data such as name, address, and DUNS number. Apart from that, our contact in your company should enter information such as name, position, and contact data (Tel. No., e-mail address). The contact need not necessarily be a key-account manager or director. Additionally, our contact partner in your company should match up with a material group allocation key that we have set.
You will have to be allocated to a material group key to qualify you as a supplier. Please remember that without this allocation, we will not be able to enrol you as a supplier.
After passing a check, your company will be enrolled in our suppliers’ list.

Technical requirements
|
You will need an internet connection and a Web browser. Any of the common web browsers such as MS Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator will do. We recommend that you always use the latest version of the browser and carry out regular patches and updates as supplied by the manufacturer. Older browser versions have security issues that have been solved in newer releases.

Security
|
To keep it secure for both parties, data will be transferred to and from the SPO with 128-bit encryption, and no data will be transferred over the Internet using insecure channels. This ensures a high degree of security when dealing with the SPO.
