Dr. Hans-Joachim Konz
Member of the Management Board of SCHOTT AG
As a member of the Board of Management Hans-Joachim Konz is responsible for the businesses Home Tech, Flat Glass and Defense. Beside this for Research & Technology Development as well as for Machinery & Production Technology. He is also supervisory board chairman and supervisory board member at several SCHOTT subsidiaries and joint ventures.
Hans-Joachim Konz was born in Euskirchen, Germany on February 15, 1960. He studied mechanical engineering, specializing in production engineering, at RWTH (Technical University) in Aachen and completed his studies in 1985 gaining his ‘Diplom-Ingenieur’ master’s degree in engineering. Thereafter he worked as research assistant at RWTH Aachen, where he was awarded his ‘Dr.-Ing.’ engineering doctorate in 1989.
