The ARTISTA® Forum

To the web gallery of ARTISTA® products

When SCHOTT first created the ARTISTA® Forum back in 1998, the company was primarily seeking to promote the exchange of information between the manufacturer and users. After all, users frequently face similar difficulties.

The aim was to advance the fusing technique and achieve greater process stability by systematically conducting a series of test runs and melting experiments. The results obtained are then documented and published in “ARTISTA® News”. In this way, the process of melting glass can be better understood and, therefore, becomes more accessible to interested parties or users.

Inside a workshop that is equipped with some of the most prevalent types of kilns and all of the necessary supplies, Hartmut Glenewinkel, who heads the ARTISTA® Forum, provides assistance to experienced users, as well as novices, in solving problems that pertain to fusing. He offers telephone support, as well as expert advice on location.
